KNAUS Campingpark Burgen - ANWB
GermanyThe KNAUS Moselle/Burgen campsite runs along the Moselle river and is part of the State accredited resort of Burgen. Here in the oldest wine region in Germany, the steep hillsides of Fußtäl are densely covered in grapevines. The wine-growers of the region are particularly renowned for their fine, fruity Riesling. The name of the region of Burgen comes from the large number of castles (Burg = castle in German) surrounding the area. It is best to uncover the romantic and well-maintained structures via the walking paths through the vineyards, forests or Ehrenburg castle or even on a trail path.Previously known as the __Boot and camping center Laguna__, the campsite of course still has its large boat port with a view of the romantic Bischofstein castle. Due to the large number of locks the Moselle is also excellent for watersports like canoeing, waterskiing or even fishing.
